Our final Turkey pick of the year is here and it's Wild! This barrel was the most unique of all the picks we sampled. It's got some exotic spice stuff going on. Lemongrass and some cumin/zatar type middle eastern flavors on the nose. Hefty mint, like white Lifesavers. And there's some deep leather polish, charred wood, maybe sawdust. It's a dry, spicy mix of spices and wood. Really different and awesome.

The palate is really light and airy with cream and more of that oak, combining big wood, spices, and some honey & vanilla.

The finish again is super unique. The dry cracking wood is there, with the exotic spice, and kind of an explosion of dry exotic flavor. It's a killer bourbon. If you're a big Turkey fan, you'll want this one because it's unmistakably unique. And if you're just a general bourbon-lover, you really can't go wrong with this single cask, 110 proof, delight from Russell’s.
