The third and final of this year's Elijah Craig series has arrived! The elder statesman of the Three Tenors trio, Stáchey-O-Domingo, clocks in at just under 11 years. And it's a stunner!

If the first, 9-year barrel, was sweets and baking spices, and the second 9-year barrel was all spice and funk, this one brings all those notes together. The nose has leather polish and char, wood and smoke. The sweets are there, salty candy bar goodness, nougat, honey, milk chocolate. And the spices are there too. Some beautiful rye caraway.

The palate is nicely viscous and spicy, with oils, wood, black pepper, and tobacco. And the finish is a lovely combination, long-lasting with all the spices coming together for a salty, spicy, sweet, and rich aftertaste that fills the middle of the tongue and slowly crawls back down the throat.

What a glorious trio of barrels & bottles! Of course getting a 10 Year 10 Month bourbon for $40 is pretty damn sweet as well. The reverend Elijah never disappoints, and this year's haul is no exception. Enjoy!
